Kamchah is Arabic for Latin triticum {"wheat"}.

Wehr (1976): ﻗﻤﺢ /qamḥ/ "wheat"; Siggel (1950: 60): /qamḥ/ Triticum sativum (Gram.) Weizen {i.e. "wheat"}; ﻗﻤﺤﺔ /qamḥa/, pl. ﻗﻤﺤﺎﺕ /qamḥāt// "wheat-kernel".
