Translation:
Giuntas is Greek for Latin vertigo according to Cassius Felix, etc.
Commentary:
Simon is referring to Cassius Felix, De medicina, I.1, ed. Fraisse (2001: 5) ...ad vertiginosos quos ilingiontas appellant - "For those with vertigo, who {the Greeks} call ilingiontes {lit. 'those who are dizzy'}".
ἰλιγγιῶντας /ilingiôntas/ part. pl. pres. act. masc. acc. < ἰλιγγιάω /ilingiáō/ "become dizzy, lose one's head, as when one looks down from a height". (LSJ)
For ilingiontas A. Fraisse has the following vv.ll.: iligiuntas, illignntas (sic) and ilicnuntas. Simon's form is obviously a truncated version of the first v.l.: <ili>giuntas.
